A Day Trip to Oxford with Blushes

We’ve been settling into our new home on Little Clarendon Street and have been so excited to see all of your new hairstyles courtesy of the wonderfully talented Blushes Oxford team - don’t forget to tag us online with #BlushesFeeling.

As part of opening a salon, in a new community, we took to Instagram to ask for your suggestions on where to visit if you’re spending a day in Oxford and visiting our newest Blushes salon. So, we’ve compiled a round up list of incredible places to visit while you’re in the Oxford area, whether you’re local or just visiting us for the day- there is something for everyone!

For the Perfect Outdoor Brunch Spot…

Gail’s Bakery kindly supplied us with the most delicious, freshly baked cookies in our opening week, so we know first how how amazing their baked goods are! Situated in Jericho, near to our salon, they’re a wonderful place for an alfresco brunch or take away coffee as you’re on the way to your appointment.

For an Afternoon Challenge…

Every town or city needs a Thirsty Meeples, so if you haven’t already heard of this place it’s definitely worth checking out. You pay per person for a certain amount of hours, and within that time you can play as many (provided) games as you like whilst ordering food and drink via table service! This is innovation with an old school twist at its finest. What a great way to wile away an afternoon with friends and family for something a little different.

Mediterranean dining set in the beautiful iconic Victorian Glasshouse is the much talked about Gees restaurant - part of the Oxford Collection which includes the Old Parsonage Hotel, The Quod restaurant and the Old Bank Hotel. With their signature style of Wisteria clad booths and Missoni fabrics on the seating, Victor’s Oxford’s interior style has certainly woo’d us, before we’ve even started on their mouth-watering menu. Eat in style while Al Fresco dining is still on the cards, with a menu of Japanese small plates with American fusion - Victor's is the place to visit for incredible ambience and Insta-worthy pics!
