Editor's Note: New Beginnings at Blushes

Much to the delight of both stylists and clients alike, this month has seen the hair industry burst into life again across the UK.

Just as artists crave the thrill of creative expression, our hairdressers have been yearning to articulate their coveted skill sets. During lockdown, we spent a lot of time thinking deeply about what the future of Blushes would look like. So, we thought the best place to start, is with you.

For the first time in Blushes Hairstory, we sent out a customer satisfaction survey. Our intention was to listen to you and better understand your needs and desires. We also asked ways in which you think we could improve. Your responses blew us away.

With over 500 of our clients offering their thoughts, this is what we found out;

  • 98% were either ‘Very’ or ‘Extremely’ satisfied with Blushes.

  • 85% would actively recommend Blushes to a friend.

  • 65% have been a client of Blushes for a minimum of 5 years.

On top of this, you described the Blushes stylists as fun, knowledgeable, attentive and said you love the ambience and our salon experiences.

We’ve also taken the time to listen to the areas you think we can improve on which we will be working hard to implement over the next 12 months.

You told us you’d like advice on trends and changing styles, so we’ve committed to producing more trend driven content on our blog and social media, regular trend training for our teams as well as developing our unique Hair ID consultation process even further. Watch this space!

We decorated areas of the salons before re-opening and are committing to updating the décor in our toilets over the next year.

Given that so many of you are loyal to Blushes, whether you visit our salon in Cheltenham, Worcester or Cirencester, we’re also working behind the scenes to create different ways to reward you and say thank you.

On top of this, we’re committing to surveying our clients and our teams every 6 months to make sure we’re doing all that we can to consistently delivering that #BlushesFeeling.

As of today, our core purpose is to create dynamic environments where people come to flourish.

Moving forward, we’re putting people at the centre of the Blushes universe. That includes our incredible teams too. We’re wholeheartedly concentrating on providing careers, not jobs as well as designing beautiful, lifestyle spaces to relax and work in.

We also feel that empowering our teams to have a voice is really important. So we surveyed them too:

  • 96% of the team say they have a good work-life balance

  • 100% of the team look forward to coming to work

  • 98% of the team see a long term future at Blushes

To clients old and new, our teams as they are now and to those who will join us in the future…

Welcome to new beginnings at Blushes.
