The Big Blushes Ramble Charity Walk

Blushes Hair & Beauty is making steps to raise over £1000 for FareShare UK.

The Blushes teams from Cheltenham, Cirencester, Oxford and Worcester hair and beauty salons are aiming to walk over 1000 miles in just one week, raising money to fight hunger and food wastage across the country.  

What started as an initiative to focus on the physical and mental wellbeing of the Blushes team members, and to keep them connected during lockdown, evolved into an opportunity to support people impacted by Covid-19. 

FareShareUK believe that no good produce should go to waste. It re-distributes surplus food to charities across the UK, that turn it into meals for 933,178 people in need, every week. 

During a tough year for individuals, families and businesses across the world, Blushes is turning its focus to its local communities. As well as the charity walk, Blushes is kicking off a Guest Artists Series: Lockdown Edition where it will be giving its various social media feeds and blog page over to both its client’s professions and local independents to highlight and support other businesses during this difficult period.

“Now is the time for people to act as a unified collective, which includes our teams, our clients and the incredible communities that they all exist in. It’s cliché but the idea that there’s strength in numbers really does apply here. We’re not out of the woods yet, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And until we get there, we want to help and support as many people as possible.”
